Until Ravi Ashwin broke his record he was the fastest Indian bowler to complete 100 Test wickets. He made Test debut in 1961 & went missing from international cricket for 5 years after playing few games in order to complete his Engineering degree. He returned to Indian team back in 1967 & finished off his career in 1978 after taking 189 Test wickets. One of his famous spells came during a Test Match played at Auckland against New Zealand where he took 8 wickets 76 runs leading the way to an Indian victory.
