Swapna Barman is an Indian heptathlete. She won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games and was placed first in the Heptathlon at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships. In August 2019
Swapna Barman became the first Indian heptathlete to win an Asian Games gold, she was honored with the Arjun Award. Today she came home by taxi alone. No one was there to appreciate or recognize her nor she got the respect she deserves.
