1) When you lose, you are in a bad mood but, Today you are smiling. Why?
A. That’s true, I’m always sad when I lose, but this time I’m not upset because it’s just one more tournament and I performed well. I build my future fights so what need I got it from this tournament. I’m comfortable with the Referee’s decision. I accept it.
2) what happened in the final? And what is your future goal?
A. With Ken( Nishimura), we know each other very well, Every time I fought with him I concentrate on my game plan but I didn’t this time. I left it goes as it is. We analyze each other during the game. All the tournaments are a test for me, I believe everything is in god’s hand.
My target is the European championship in Azarbaijan and of course, the most important one is the Olympics. I want to achieve it.
3) what you think about participating in the Olympics in the Budokan? What do you want to say to your opponent?
A. I won 11 years ago against a Japanese in this hall, so I already know the sensation. Of course, the journey is going on to be exciting for me in my opponent’s house. I don’t get nervous entering the tatami because I am 34-35 years old, I did my best.
And I wish good luck to all my opponents for this Olympics journey.
4) Your memories from 2008? Anything you want to say to them who is talking about your age and performance?
A. I remember everything, especially those days in the Budokan, whether I win or lose, I never forget. I’m proud of living in Azerbaijan and I love my country. I thank them all.
I want to say one thing, I am 35 years old but I feel like I’m 24year old. Doesn’t matter what people say, I will do my job and keep doing it.
