In an extraordinary display of unity and empowerment, Premjit Sen, popularly known as the “Bengal Tiger,” led a massive ABCD of Self Defence Awareness & Training Session at BD Park, drawing a huge number of women and men from all age groups.
The event turned into a remarkable community gathering, with participants ranging from young students to senior citizens. The most inspiring moment of the evening was the active participation of an 82-year-old woman, who confidently performed simple and practical self-defence techniques, proving that courage and learning have no age limit.
The initiative received valued support from Sujit Bose, Hon’ble Minister of Fire & Emergency Services, Government of West Bengal, and was hosted by Ratna Bhaumik, Hon’ble Councillor, Ward No. 41, Bidhanagar Municipal Corporation.
Under the direct supervision of Premjit Sen, participants were trained in easy, effective and situation-based techniques designed for real-life safety. The focus remained on awareness, balance, quick reaction, and presence of mind — techniques that even senior citizens could confidently practice.
The participation of such a large number of women and men highlighted one powerful truth:
Self-defence is for everyone — young or old.

🗣️ Premjit Sen said:
“When an 82-year-old mother can step forward to learn self-defence, it sends a strong message to society — courage has no age. My mission is to make every citizen aware, confident and fearless.”

🗣️ Ratna Bhaumik remarked:
“Seeing women, men and even senior citizens actively participating was truly inspiring. Premjit Sen’s dedication to empowering society goes beyond martial arts — he is building confidence across generations.”

The grand success of the programme reflects a growing awareness among citizens that preparedness is the key to safety.
Age is just a number. Courage is timeless.
Awareness today ensures safety tomorrow.
