Former IOA President, and ex-Union Minister Suresh Kalmadi passed away on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, in Pune after a prolonged illness. He was 81.
He was undergoing treatment at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and breathed his last in the early hours of the morning.
His contributions to Indian politics and sports administration will always be remembered.
