South 24 Parganas, West Bengal —
Seishinkai, one of India’s most respected martial arts institutions, successfully conducted an intensive karate training camp in South 24 Parganas district, reaffirming its commitment to excellence, discipline, and grassroots development of Karate-Do.
The camp was led by Hanshi Premjit Sen, Founder and Chief Instructor of Seishinkai, a distinguished martial artist and internationally respected mentor whose contribution to Indian karate spans several decades. Renowned for his technical mastery, visionary leadership, and unwavering dedication to the values of traditional martial arts, Hanshi Premjit Sen continues to shape generations of practitioners and instructors across the country. Under his guidance, Seishinkai has emerged as a globally acclaimed organization, producing champions, national judges, and disciplined leaders in the field of martial arts.
The training programme focused on advanced technical instruction, physical conditioning, mental discipline, and character development, reflecting the core philosophy of Karate-Do.
Addressing the gathering, Hanshi Premjit Sen drew attention to an important concern in the present martial arts environment. He observed that many instructors, without adequate technical training and certification, are running their own academies, which can be harmful both to students and to the future of the sport. Emphasising the need for responsibility and authenticity, he stated that only properly trained and qualified instructors should be entrusted with teaching and running academies.
He further highlighted that Seishinkai instructors undergo systematic training, rigorous evaluation, and continuous professional development, ensuring that every Seishinkai academy maintains high technical standards, safety, discipline, and ethical values. This, he said, is the foundation on which Seishinkai continues to build a credible and respected karate system.
Hanshi Premjit Sen was accompanied by his students Shivam Poddar, Debanjali Karmokar, and Sohini Chatterjee, who actively assisted in the conduct of the camp and represented the next generation of Seishinkai leadership.
The organization placed on record its appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Shihan Prakash Thapa, Nirjhar Dasgupta, Paramesh Naskar, Nitai Mondal, Subhankar Barick, G. Gobinda, Bikash Das, Kakdwip Jeet Sikari, and Souvik Sardar, along with all members of Seishinkai South 24 Parganas District, whose professionalism and commitment ensured the success of the programme.
The successful camp once again underlined Seishinkai’s continuing mission to promote authentic, disciplined, and responsible karate training at the grassroots level, while setting benchmarks for quality instruction in Indian martial arts.
