With a commanding win over Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto in the Round of 16, Lakshya Sen emerges as the sole Indian contender left in the tournament, booking his place in the Quarter-Finals.

Earlier in the day, India faced a tough exit as top shuttlers including H.S. Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, P.V. Sindhu, Malvika Bansod, and leading doubles pairs Satwik–Chirag, Treesa–Gayatri, and Hariharan–Arjun bowed out in their respective R16 encounters.
