West Bengal Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Black Belt Gradation was held on 23rd January,2024 in Royal Bengal Room, City Centre, organized by All India Seishinkai Shito- Ryu Karate- Do Federation (AISSKF), the pioneers in Karate- Do and Martial Arts training in India, under the able guidance and leadership of Hanshi Premjit Sen, Chief Technical Director of AISSKF, Chairman of the Referee Commission, Karate India Organization and Referee and Judge, World Karate Federation. 750 participants took part in this gala event from different districts of West Bengal.
This Federation is strong supporter of empowering the women and hence out of the 750 participants, 300 were women. They aim to make everyone capable of defending themselves in any kind of adverse situation and say no to eve teasing. Many students appeared for their 1st Dan or 1st level of Black belt and some upgraded themselves from 1st to 2nd and so on. Dignitaries who graced the event by their presence were Colonel Nevendra Singh Paul, Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police and Mr. Pawan Kumar Patodia, Chairman and Principal owner at Thunderbolts.
Hon’ble Colonel addressed the gathering first and mentioned how he is proud of Mr. Sen for building our generation strong, both physically and mentally and for impacting the lives of so many women by his training. Mr. Singh in his speech said how amazed he was to see such a beautifully organized event and the way so many girls were aware and willingly learning self defence. He recalled a time when Mr. Premjit Sen was in charge to train the Black Cat Commando for free hand combat and Mr. Singh was one of his students. He wished all the children all the best for all their future endeavours.
Mr. Patodia was all full of praise for Mr. Sen for the hardwork and dedication he puts in his sport. He was amused to know that there was a mother-son duo too who were appearing in the exam that day. “With getting the black belt, you also get a responsibility towards your society and family. It will make you more humble in life because with power many things come in life.” quoted Mr. Patodia.
Hanshi Premjit Sen added, “black belt in karate is just a milestone and beginning of new horizon for everyone. Hence, work hard and set harder goals and put your heart amd soul to achieve them”.
For your information, awarded with Times Bengal Icon 2023,Hanshi Premjit Sen recently returned from his All Bengal State tour where he took a series of training camps in various districts of Bengal and shared his knowledge and experience with children all around the state.Moreover, last year had been a year of invitations and visits for him as due to his credibility, he was invited and thus travelled across the globe like , to share his knowledge with his fans and followers everywhere and to help in conducting world class events smoothly, Karate 1-Premier League Cairo,Egypt, Karate 1-Youth League Fujairah,UAE, Karate 1-Series A Konya, Turkey and Karate 1-Premier League Fukuoka,Japan, to name a few.
