The 2nd All Bengal JKA Karate Championship 2025 was successfully held on 2nd November 2025 at Sobuj Sathi Dumurjola Stadium, Howrah. The grand event was organized by JKAWF INDIA (West Bengal), supported by JKAWF Howrah, and recognized by the Karate Do Association of Bengal (KAB).
This prestigious championship witnessed the participation of over 550 competitors representing 28 clubs from across West Bengal, showcasing their skill, discipline, and spirit in the Traditional JKA Ippon Shobu format.
The tournament was inaugurated with an impressive march-past by the students of Jadavpur University’s Department of Physical Education, setting the tone for a day of sportsmanship and unity.
The event was graced by Supreme Judge and Chairman of JKAWF India, Sensei Somnath Palchowdhury, who oversaw the proceedings with precision and fairness. The championship was efficiently coordinated under the leadership of Tournament Directors Sensei Arindam Sikdar, with Secretary Sona Ghosh and Sensei Pradip Sharma ensuring smooth organizational management.
A dedicated team of over 36 judges, 20 officials, and 30 support staff contributed to the seamless execution of the event, ensuring adherence to the Traditional Japan Karate Association (JKA) Ippon Shobu Rules.
The championship provided a valuable platform for budding karatekas from all corners of Bengal to demonstrate their talent and commitment to the traditional way of Shotokan Karate. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating excellence, discipline, and the spirit of Karate-do.
