Sri Lanka’s Akila Dananjaya and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson’s bowling action have been reported after the first Test between the two teams in Galle. Both bowling action is right-arm off-break and that came under scrutiny during the first Test.

Williamson and Dananjaya will now have to give tests within 14 days from the reporting date, and, during this period both will be permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results come out.
On this matter, ICC has said that “The match officials’ report, which was handed over to the management of both teams, cited concerns about the legality of the bowling actions of both players”.
