The Senior Indian National Karate Team, representing the esteemed World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate Federation
(AKF), Commonwealth Karate Federation (CKF), and South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF) affiliated National Federation of Karate
Sports in India, the “Karate India Organisation” (KIO), has arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with high hopes and determination to
excel at the 21st AKF Asian Senior Karate Championships and the 4th AKF Asian Para-Karate Championships, scheduled from May
23rd to 25th, 2025, at the Yunusobod Sports Complex. This prestigious event stands as a testament to the skill, dedication, and spirit
of the best Karate athletes from across Asia.
Under the visionary leadership of President Mr. Bharat Sharma, General Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jangra, and Treasurer Mr.
Mutum Singh Bankim, the Indian National Karate Team is ready to showcase their prowess on an international stage. The athletes
earned their spots through outstanding performances at the 4th KIO National Karate Championship, held from March 31st to April
1st, 2025, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The Karate India Organisation (KIO) has sponsored 25 lakh rupees for the training and participation of the Indian national Karate
Team (KIO) in this 21st AKF Asian Senior Karate Championships and the 4th AKF Asian Para-Karate Championships 2025.
In preparation for this monumental competition, the Indian team has engaged in an intensive training camp for the 20days in
Tashkent Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Uzbekistan National Karate Team.
