The Indian Karate Team, under the authentic Karate Federation, Karate India Organisation (KIO) put on a spectacular performance at the recently concluded 10th Commonwealth Karate Championship 2022, which was held in Birmingham (UK).
Around 1500 top class players from 20 countries participated in this event, regarded as one of the best ever successful Championship organised by the English Karate Federation under the aegis of Commonwealth Karate Federation (CKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF).
The Indian players had performed outstandingly and won 3 Gold, 8 Silver and 14 Bronze Medals in the Championship.
The hardwork and efforts shown by the Coaches had yielded in such a spectacular performances by the Indian players which resulted in the Team securing the 5th position.
Lastly, the person who has been responsible for this performance by the Indian karatekas at the global stage is Hanshi Bharat Sharma. He is the one whose vision has aspired lakhs of karatekas in India to take up this unique game. He was fittingly elected as the 2nd Vice President of the Commonwealth Karate Federation.
