The South 24 Pargana’s District Karate Championship| Karate News | Sports247live

The South 24 Pargana’s District Karate Championship 2019 held on 21 December at the Jadavpur Sanskritik Sandha Club, Kolkata,was organised by the South 24 Parganas Karate-Do Association under the leadership and guidance of Hanshi Premjit Sen, president Karate-do Association of Bengal, who was also the chief guest.

A total of 80 events were conducted, including sub junior, cadet, junior and senior categories with 240 participants.

Shihan Gopal Marjit, general secretary of South 24 Parganas Karate-Do Association, Sensei Subir Mazumder, chairman of the referee commission of South 24 Parganas Karate-Do Association and Sensei Dipak Kumar Shaw, secretary of referee commission led 30 judges, referees and officials to make the event a success.

All participants were given certificates and the winners received medals and certificates. The winners of this tournament will participate in the state championship and winners from that event will be selected for the KAI nationals.

Lunch and T-shirts were provided to all participants. All referees, judges and officials were given mementos and travel allowance for attending the event.

The style members, referees, judges and officials present at the event included Shihan Rana karmokar, General Secretary Hooghly District, Shihan Kaushik Basak, Vice President, Shihan Antony Halder, Vice President, Shihan Amit Balmiki, Vice President, Shihan Prakash Thapa, Asst.Secretary, Sensei Sibhasish Das, Jt. Sectetary, and Sensei Nirjhar Dasgupta, Jt. Secretary. Shihan Parash Mishra, Jt. Secretary Karate Do Association of Bengal, was also present.

No injuries were sustained by any of the participants during the event
