Inspired by Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, a “FELICITATION CEREMONY” was organised by the All India Trinamool Congress Sports Cell (AITCSC) at the Kolkata Press Club on 22nd July 2021
Sri Swapan Banerjee (Chairman – AITCSC), felicitated the Tokyo Olympics bound players from Bengal, Atun Das, Pranati Nayak and Sutirtha Mukherjee and their parents.
This type of Ceremony was organised for the first time in the state of Bengal, with the visionary leader and Chairperson of AITCSC, Sri Swapan Banerjee (Babun Banerjee), who is also the President of Bengal Olympic Association (BOA).
He not only honoured the players but also recognized and appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of their parents, which was very heart-warming.
Prominent people and Sports person, like, Manas Bhattacharya, Videsh Basu, Biswarup Dey,Devjit Ghosh, Mehtab Hossain, Joydeep Karmakar, Arup Vaidya,
Premjit Sen, Sanjay Majhi,
Govinda Pramanik, Robin Balde, Tushar Shil,, Soumi Sengupta, Chinmoy Chatterjee, Prashant Saha were present as members of the sports wing in the ceremony along with the people in the media.
