PV Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in the women’s singles final to become the first Indian to win Gold at the BWF World Championships.PV Sindhu became the first Indian to win the BWF World Championships, crushing Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in just 38 minutes in a one-sided final on Sunday.
With the win, Sindhu now has a full set of medals at World Championships – two bronze medals, two silver medals, and a gold medal.
