According to sources, India may bid for hosting the Olympics in the year 2036 in Ahmedabad.
Termed as “PM Modi’s Dream Project”, the Government has initiated goals for building world class sports village in Ahmedabad.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave has been advertised for Olympics Committee. Whereas, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has hired world’s top sports consultants in order to get guidance through ‘gap-analysis’.
The central government is planning to send the bid to host Ahmedabad Olympics 2036 during the meeting after Paris 2024 Olympics.
The bidding of the 2036 Olympics will begin from 2026. Hardly 5 years left, construction and design work is going on in a war footing.
