Mr.Narender Batra today meet Hon’ble Sports Minister Govtt of India in Early Morning and updated the Hon’ble Minister about the decisions taken in the Indian Olympic Association General Assembly Meeting on 30th December, 2019 and updated on the following:–
- IOA/CGI will participate in 2022 CWG Birmingham games.
- Proposal will be sent to CWG from IOA/CGI for hosting of Shooting and Archery in India in 2022 and with request that the medals won be counted in the medals for 2022 Commonwealth Games.
- Expression of interest to host 2026/2030 Games in India be sent to CWG.
The Hon’ble Minister gave a very patient hearing and also discussed about preprations for Tokyo 2020 Olympics with Mr.Batra.
